The event date is rapidly approaching. If you have not had the chance to register yet, please do so here: http://www.airsoftlouisville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2658
If you need other event info, you can find that here: http://www.airsoftlouisville.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=111
Thanks for those of you who have already signed up. We're looking forward to seeing you guys again.
I know SPEAR guys always come prepared, but just wanted to let you know this is a no BS field. The terrain is much more varied than Asylum and it is right next door to the middle of nowhere Kentucky. There is a possibility of wildlife being in the AO, including, but not limited to, snakes, spiders, ticks, chiggers, mosquitoes etc. Just want you guys to be aware so you can prepare accordingly.

Re: May 9th 2009 - Cynthiana, Kentucky
I've been reading the AAR thread in ASL but can't think of anything to add. It sucks so many players signed up but didn't make it, especially in the first mission that was set up for 70 players. You guys did an excellent job compensating for that, though, even if it meant sacrificing the storyline. I did love the storyline, I admit.
My personal favorite part was hearing the Chopper down over the Radio. It just sounded great. The only thing I would suggest to add to that in the future is real-time Intel being sent 'from' the chopper beforehand to give us guys on the radio a better idea that it's around. I.E. using the same 'Eagle Eye' code name and voice feeds, have real-game Intel come down from the chopper successfully a few times before having it go down. That would give us on the radio a sense that it's really up there, so when it goes down it feels more real and more necessary to retrieve the pilot. Great effect, though, really immersive.

Re: May 9th 2009 - Cynthiana, Kentucky
thanks for your input guys...
actualy link, i did write up a small part for the pilot to give you guys real time intel, but i was acting a role during the first hour, and we decided that it would fill up some needed radio chatter for your team...plus, we were already hitting the ground at a light jog, and didnt want to trip ourselves. at least we now know we can pull it off!
what you guys didnt hear, was the green team had an equal conversation between their CO and missile control. describing the vehicle and actions to take...the CO declaring you guys to be wiped out...it was intense!
though out the day, we had real time mission intel placed, but because of the turnout, it would of been a chore and the action spread thin...mid way through, we gave the players what they wanted. full force on force action!
