Airsoft Louisville Member, M4Chip

Post by fish on Wed Feb 04, 2009 9:15 am

I'm sharing this because some of you guys knew Chip, he had traveled to at least 2 games in Ohio this year already, and really enjoyed playing with you guys in SPEAR.

Unfortunately, last night we learned of Chip's untimely death from his son, Scar, who is also an Airsoft Louisville member.

We would like to take a moment to mark this passing of one of our dearest members, M4Chip of an apparent heart attack.

Chip was an outstanding member of our community, always quick with words of encouragement and enthusiasm for the game. He was elected Member of the Month by a landslide decision, and enhanced every game he played in, either at Asylum or at the several road games he attended. He will be sorely missed on the field and off.

We are honored to have been able to share the field with Chip, and will continue to play the game as he would have - with integrity, enthusiasm and honor.

We will miss you Chip.

Several of our members will be attending his funeral once we have the specifics regarding it. Please contact Tanpapasmurf or myself if you wish to know the details regarding his services.

We are dedicating our February 15th game to him, and will be taking up a donation in his name to help his family during this time of need.

Are thoughts are with his family. It is sad to her the loss of a memember of the community. We will look into the 15th and make an attempt to attend the game and honor his memory. Our hearts are with the ASL community.

I had the honor and pleasure of playing alongside chip (and fish, smurf, and mrobben) at the last Valley Creek game. This news shocks and saddens me. He was an excellent squad-mate on the field and sounded like a very good guy off the field, too. My thoughts and prayers are with all those he leaves behind. If I can, I will show my support on the 15th.
