OP Irene VII, SEPT 11-13, FT Knox KY
hey guys, just wondering if SPEAR would like to combine forces with (so far) about 6 members of ASL for this event.
we were thinking of joining the freedom fighters (green and mixed uniforms). we were thinking of US Woodland pants and green T-shirts (maybe custom t-shirts!).
so far, all that is confirmed is date, unifrom requirments and hints of BIO BBs only. more to follow as reg date nears.
Registration opens July 20, 2009 at 12:00 noon PST.
See forum at www.oplionclaws.com for details.
what do you guys think?

Green? Who's tan fighting for?
I guess I'd be willing to wear green if it meant fighting alongside you ASL guys...

Its not even green. We can wear whatever we want, as long as its not DCU print.

Re: OP Irene VII, SEPT 11-13, FT Knox KY
ok, check that...we will now try for the tan side. found out that it was look down upon for wearing such gear as plate carriers and vests and whatnot (they want you to cover it up with a large shirt if you do wear it).
so it will be easier, gear wise, to be on task force ranger (TFR). the only problem would be to get a spot. only 350 spots total, are available for entire event.
now we started to get things organized on our site, to have one person register multiply people at once being most important right now, but a disgruntled member decided he wanted to destroy both sites, leaving them worthless.
costs:
80 at register
155 before game date
=
235 total cost (if you never played at LC event.)

Re: OP Irene VII, SEPT 11-13, FT Knox KY
hey guys, a quick reminder that today at 3pm is the opening of registration.
i am in the process of getting a house open for about 10-12 people to be able to sleep in...it is 30 minutes away from OP Site. it has a shower and AC, so no complaints there (bring sleeping bags and basic toiletries)
if any of you would like to be on the same squad as the 5-6 of us from ASL, please include your team as "AIRSOFT LOUISVILLE", at registration.
we are going for the Task Force Ranger side.
hope to see you guys there!

I'm on the rangers side. No team name to put anywhere... but I may have missed it in the hurry I was in to register.

I haven't received any email aside from my payment receipt. Link and EH, have you guys received any? I can't tell if this is good or bad, I either got rangers or I am going to be on a waiting list.

whatever the case....guys, would you be comfortable switching sides since its such a fuss for the organizers? at least we would be able to play...id still like a conformation email or something.
we wont move until we get word from you guys....
also, feel free to stop by our newly undeveloped site! you will have to re-register.

Re: OP Irene VII, SEPT 11-13, FT Knox KY
I just got the dreaded "Ranger Sold Out" email also.
I guess I could throw on some pajamas, flip flops and alice gear, maybe even grow a beard. I don't know, if EH and/or Link have to/will go FF I will too, otherwise I'm going to have to think about it.
It just seems like alot of money to spend to be forced to fight with crappy gear
