Operation Midnight Garden Cold War (Louisville, KY) Charity Game 11-10-2012

Post by flying cheeto on Sun Sep 16, 2012 6:07 pm

Milsim Operations & Airsoft Louisville will be hosting a charity game benefiting the children of fallen soldiers relief fund.

We have several corporate sponsors and are expecting several more to donate raffle prizes soon.

This event will be held at Asylum Xtreme in Louisville, KY. For anyone who has not played at this field i strongly encourage you to come on out. Every October this field is used to hold the largest haunted forest in Louisville and we always benefit from the construction of some of the most impressive structures ever put up on a non military instillation.

Background Story

After years of conflict negotiations have begun between the RAFC and the NAC. A cease fire has been put in place for several weeks, but tensions between the two groups are growing as they continue arguing over control of the land know as the the “Golden Trail”. The Golden Trail contains a river system as well as the only road vital to the transportation of all goods in or out of the region. The RAFC has controlled this area for over 10 years and has used it to run their many illegal business's which include human trafficking, drugs and arms running. The NAC funded by Ecopetrol Columbia's largest oil company requires the Golden Trail to continue its development and exploration of the area. With an estimated 400 million barrels of oil located within the Golden Trail the monetary value of the area is in the billions. Two small towns are located in the area and although the intense fighting over the years has claimed the lives of countless civilians they seem to be gaining in numbers and firepower in the recent months. Neither the RAFC or the NAC have taken responsibility for this recent development and with both sides suffering casualties at the hands of these civilian groups it appears that they have simply had enough and are fighting back.

LOL, it's not a matter of desire, we've got that. Just a matter of timing and logistics.

I do still want to check out the field after seeing all the improvements since last time I was down there.
